Elsewhere — privacy policy

Elsewhere is a personal project. This policy covers the test version of the iPhone app distributed through Apple's TestFlight.

What the app collects: nothing

The test version has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It makes no requests to any server of ours and sends nothing you type or tap anywhere. It does not use artificial intelligence services: the news stories in it were prepared in advance.

What stays on your phone

The stories you trace, the chains you keep, and small conveniences such as the story you last opened are saved only on your device. They are not backed up by us, and they are erased if you delete the app.

Links to other websites

Stories credit their sources. Tapping a source opens the publisher's website in your browser; that website's own privacy policy applies.

TestFlight

Apple runs TestFlight and may share crash reports, usage information and any feedback you choose to send with the developer, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. You can turn crash sharing off in the TestFlight app.

Changes

If a later version collects or sends anything, this page will say so before that version is offered to you.
